The housing market data this week continued to indicate that the U.S. housing sector is recovering, though still at a modest pace. U.S. existing home sales and housing starts did rise in January. And, apparently, the government isn’t willing to let this recovery burn and die out, with several plans proposed to kick-start the housing sector. But don’t bet on a speedy housing market recovery just yet. Getting some of those proposals through Congress won’t be easy.
