Biography
Diane Westerback is a managing director, Global Surveillance Analytics for Structured Finance Ratings, oversees global Structured Finance Ratings processes designed to identify and assess current risk exposures. Diane brings a unique background and depth of analytical experience to this role.
Prior to joining Standard & Poor’s, Diane was a managing director, in FGIC’s Special Exposure Group. In that role, Diane managed remediation and surveillance on their RMBS portfolio. Before FGIC, Diane worked for C-BASS, where she was responsible for managing the fi rm’s portfolio management, including the evaluation of performance and losses, analysis of deal structures, and reporting on their performance. Diane spent six years as a senior credit offi cer at Moody’s Investors Service, where she was responsible for rating and monitoring residential mortgage-backed securities. She developed Moody’s rating approach for residential servicers and was involved in the rating process of all securitized non-performing mortgages, including the HUD portfolios as well as other semi-performing collateral. Prior to joining Moody’s, Diane’s expertise in collateral evaluation evolved from her work over 15 years in commercial and residential real estate, including the CFO role at Forest City Ratner Companies.
Diane received her M.B.A., an M.A. in Architecture, and a B.A., cum laude, from Yale University.
